Instructor Statement As a teacher, I feel most successful when my students continue creating outside of the classroom. With that in mind, my goal is to give writers the tools that they need to address various issues, including dialogue, character development, and narrative; and the confidence to keep pressing forward when the writing gets tough.
Our Students Say It Best! "This class was more than I'd hoped for, and I'm not sure it could have been achieved with anyone other than Chris. He's the most active listener I've met, and he was able to ask questions that prompted me to create a universe for my novel in ways that I'd never thought of. I am immensely grateful to have found this class but more specifically, this instructor." — Writers’ Program student
"Chris L. Terry is my favorite writing instructor. He is so encouraging and engages us in stimulating discussions. He gives thoughtful notes for submissions and is very motivating. I wish every instructor was like Chris and every class was as well thought out as his." — Writers’ Program student
"Chris created a very supportive environment. He was always thoughtful, engaging, and real with his approach to writing in general and our own work. I always felt seen and heard by his thought-provoking questions." — Writers’ Program student
